  what will guide us in choosing the right religion?

  the encyclopdia universalis is correct when it highlights the importance of truth.

  you have stated (and others have agreed and stated the same) that faith is not based on evidence, or it is not faith to begin with.

  may i ask you, then, if you think the apostles and early disciples, who walked with christ, had faith?

  When Wt claims that we should build up a Godly faith through being "convinced that Jehovah exists", but not by "human thinking", I would be interested how to do that. How to be convinced without thinking?

  And, for example, if I wish to have Faith in God but don´t believe in God anymore, how shall I continue then?

  Adamah, thanks for your reflections on my post.

  "Faith demands accepting a belief without any perceivable evidence...." That´s a very interesting view of it....

  What really IS the difference between an "unshakeable belief" and "faith"? The faith is more confident? Confidence that grows with a conviction (for example that Jehova exists) but NOT with "human thinking"?

  as a jw, i read all the publications and tried to understand all "theocratic" watchtower policy.. i read 3 newspapers a day and rarely read a book or magazine, other than wt.

  stuff.. i read the bible a number of times and still find it a good read.. i love to read the internet news as well as the cherished drudge report.. what's your favorite read??.

  Old material, old light, the new light in the present time is shining so much more and overshines everything backwards in time, don´t look back, life is here and now, feed on the new light instead of confusing yourself etc etc etc

  Commenting my own post......"no human thinking".....does the Organization of Wisdom mean an absence of the intellect?

  That faith can only be built through Heart, not the intellect?

  If so.....how to use "logical thinking" without thinking??

  Hopefully no one will be mad at me when I double post this "faith - evidence" article:

  Logical thinking and common sense is therefore something totally different that human thinking. That was a surprise for me.

  like the title said, i shall have visitors (jw young men) next week.. i don t want to scare them away right away, i wish them to have a wake up call.
